Where once enslaved humans and dwarves toiled in mines beneath <<dragon name>>'s stronghold, now work free (and well paid) miners who extract valuable ores from the mountains depths. Predominantly dwarven, these miners are well trained in exploiting the various mineral veins that feeds the city's main economy. Iron, copper, gold, and the occaisional deposit of adamantine are taken from the shafts and worked into fine arms, works of art, or refined and exported. The Overseer of the mines is an old dwarven man named Binwin Ironpick. Staunch and convservative, he administrates the mines with an eye towards the bottom line. Despite this, he refuses to cut corners where the saftey of his miners would be in jeopardy, lest he become no better than the previous owner of the mine. Its no secret he dislikes the recent new citizens of the city, siding with Zyza to block the entrance of the "lesser races". He has also a dislike for the Dragonborn, stemming from a business deal that went south between his family and another Dragonborn family over 100 years ago.
